Ritual Brewing Co. – Media & Marketing Coordinator

The Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for driving brand visibility for Ritual Brewing Co. This position will serve as the key point of contact and coordination for building brand awareness through social media, taproom events, and key outside events. The successful candidate will have relevant experience with marketing, promotions, and social media management in a consumer products environment.

Essential duties of this gig:

Culture

  • Continually grow awareness of Ritual Brewing Co. and our brands through active engagement via social and other media, live events, craft beer influencers, and creative collaboration with our distribution and retail partners
  • Juggle multiple projects and personalities with professional aplomb and a slightly warped sense of humor

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and taproom teams to identify key events and promotional opportunities
  • Develop strategy for, and maintain, all social media accounts with regular updates that are relevant to and actively promote current events.  Identify new emerging media platforms that could be used effectively to market Ritual brands
  • Constantly update and manage the social media plan / calendar with planned posts for a minimum of 21 days.  Develop and maintain a long term calendar for planning of social media and other communication for key events (festivals, IPA Day, National Beer week, and similar events). Ensure Ritual’s leadership is appraised of the plan / calendar on a regular basis
  • Develop contact lists for key media collaborators and event promoters.  Develop relationships with key social media contacts and influencers to collaboratively promote Ritual and its brands
  • Update website as needed
  • Initiate and maintain engagement with key employers in the area to provide employee discounts and host events at the Taproom
  • Update and maintain a single source for beer descriptions. Ensure descriptions for beers are used consistently across all platforms
  • Develops administrative systems, procedures and best practices including tracking systems, forms control, and other tools to effectively track and communicate social media and marketing projects
  • Support Director of Sales in communicating with and providing direct assistance to the sales team in the field
  • Communicate with distributors and retail as needed and be able to articulate our portfolio with confidence
  • Professionally and effectively manage communication received via social media and reply in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Work closely with Founders to develop an ever improving brand experience for all audiences including the general public and retailers
  • Develop and maintain an e-mail list and initiate periodic e-mail communication with customer base
  • Coordinate events by developing and maintaining an ongoing special events calendar for Ritual including festivals, dinners, Founder appearances, special releases, and other events that provide exceptional visibility for Ritual’s products. 

Knowledge, Experience and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School education required
  • Previous marketing / social media management experience in a craft beer or consumer product environment is preferred
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, Social Media components
  • Craft Beer Passion is not a plus…it’s a must!
  • Personal drive that seeks out new ideas and executes tasks while working independently
  • Professional attitude with a fun-loving side as we work hard and play hard
  • Proven track record of problem-solving with creativity
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Compensation

This will be a part-time position initially.  We are also open to working with a freelance professional in this capacity.

RITUAL BREWING CO. – Beer Wrangler / Merchandiser

LOCATION: Redlands, CA

POSITION TYPE: Part Time, Hourly Employee

POSITION SUMMARY: The Beer Wrangler plays a front line service role on the Sales / Distribution team in ensuring our brewery fresh draft beer is flowing at local accounts and packaged beer is displayed and available in retail stores.  Will be responsible for operating a delivery vehicle ranging from a van to a box truck.  Responsible for excellent customer service and ensuring a positive interaction with, customers while delivering Ritual products.  Also will check shelf, tap placement, and / or display to ensure product is properly stocked, displayed, and rotated as well as building effective, professional displays in retail locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains workplace safety while upholding quality standards.
  • Loading and unloading trucks / vans
  • Demonstrate safe, responsible driving habits and parking maneuvers
  • Ensure truck is loaded with correct amount of cases and kegs
  • Drive scheduled delivery route
  • Deliver Ritual products to area retail accounts (bars, restaurants, package stores) utilizing a hand truck
  • Ensure correct amount is invoiced to customer, and that payment is collected when necessary
  • Clean draft lines and troubleshoot draft issues.  Install / replace draft equipment occasionally as needed.
  • Ensure product on shelf is properly stocked and rotated.  Pull out of code beer to ensure fresh beer for the consumer.
  • Assist the sales team in building and maintaining retail displays.
  • Account for all returnable items to Ritual (empty kegs, etc)
  • Monitor product quality, reporting problems to mitigate safety and quality issues.
  • Responsible for consistently and accurately documenting and reporting; Completing inventory, quality and return logs.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, safe material handling, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a passionate craft beer lover with excellent communication skills to support our sales team and coordinate our front office activities.
Ritual’s Administrative Coordinator will need a varied skill set that includes, but is not limited to, office administration, recordkeeping, efficient calendar and event coordination, manage incoming calls and inquiries, be personable w/ retail customers and be a resident expert on Ritual’s beers. The Administrative Coordinator is the liaison between the Ritual Brewing Co. leadership team and the rest of the world. This position will serve as the key point of contact and coordination for all company communication as well as implementation and tracking of Ritual Brewing programs.

  • Professionally and effectively manage incoming phone and e-mail communication, route calls and messages, and ensure timely follow up
  • Assist in route accounting, invoicing, reconciliation of sales transactions, collections and new account setup
  • Manage chain account product approvals, SKU, and pricing updates
  • Assist with preparation of sales materials and coordinate social media communication
  • Work closely with Founders to develop an ever improving brewery experience for all audiences including the general public and retailers
  • Create reports and sales analysis utilizing sales figures and statistics
  • Negotiate best pricing for all point of sale and brewery merchandise and maintain proper inventory levels with timely replenishment

The successful Ritual Beer Guide will possess a variety of skills including serving beer, accurately describing our unique portfolio, explaining the brewing process and being a resident beer expert. Applicants need to be adept at pouring beer, merchandising products and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

The ideal candidate will:
…demonstrate a passion for great craft beer

…have at least six months of full-service restaurant/bar experience
…be organized, confident, and available on nights and weekends
